A WEEKEND AWAY...

I'm really looking forward to my long weekend away from Sydney and life's routines, I'll be at KYC (Katoomba Youth Convention) "Encountering God" from Friday - Sunday, but we're leaving on the Australia Day (which is tomorrow) to Jenolan Cave for a bit of haunting experience in the dark inside the cave.

The problem is... I haven't done my packing yet, I figured out that I haven't got much time left to do it (considering gals usually have much more stuff to bring; also the fact that this time it's going to be a long 4 days & 3 nights away!). Will definitely have to do it tonight after getting home from the dinner with the city-based workers, which I hope that it won't end too late. But I guess I'll manage...

So please pray for KYC - whatever points you may think of.

FOR FRIDA ;)

Happy birthday sweet sister! May you grow more beautifully inside out, beauty that reflects God's image and love. *BIG HUGS* - God bless you as always.

ENJOY THE DAY!
Take an extra long shower,
Eat something rich,
Buy something fun,
Write down ten things you're thankful for,
See some different scenery,
Call a friend,
Praise the Lord....

....HAVE A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY!

Especially for you...

UNDO

I thought I'd blog this before I forget.

Funny that whatever I do now, or whatever incidents come across, they remind me again and again of Jesus' sacrifice for our sins. When I was little, or even when I grew as an adult, I never really understood and appreciated His love for me that was shown on that cross. It didn't really impact me in a way that I could say "thank you Jesus" with all my heart. I only understood it as far as my head could understand.

I was just doing my work today, and made alot of mistakes in my typing (one of those days). Luckily (thank goodness for technology) I could "undo" it. Imagine if I was typing on the old typewriter thing, I could've wasted so much paper in just a few minutes (would be a great loss for the company hehe). We were sinners, but our sins were "undone" by His cleansing blood which made us clean - white as snow.

Now it's a challenge for us to live each day for Him, days that have been impacted by His great love, days that will press on towards Godliness and not sinfulness.

This is my heartfelt-thought for the day...

Back to work!

BORED

It was so hard for me to get up this morning, blame it on the perfect sleeping-weather =P

Anyway, work started to be busy in the morning, but I managed to finish it after lunch, and now I'm quite bored having not much on my plate and not to mention sleepy (ready to crash!), plus the back of my neck hurts for some reasons, I've been doing some gentle massage around the area.

Having not much to do, I decided to blog - at least it keeps me busy as well as awake! =P I also read a few blogs that I didn't normally read, quite interesting and I had fun reading it. Deb and I also had a little food talk over emails which made me really hungry now. :D

Ok, now someone wants me to do something, so I must stop blogging and do some work... till then!

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING

I've never met someone who is willing to do absolutely everything in order to help his friend who is in need; like giving up a day work/business just to help me out!; not counting the gain or loss in helping me; and alot more of them (YES! ALOT MORE)..!

It's a perfect parralel to what God did do for us when we were so seriously helpless in sin, He didn't spare His Son Jesus (GOD'S ALL), but made Him an atonement sacrifice in order for us to be saved.

How could I ever thank this person and, above all, how could I thank God... I'm in debt!

MUSIC n CHESS

Those who don't know that I love playing chess - don't know me well enough. =P

I love music and I also love chess. Are there any connections between music and chess? Apparently, to some sources (eg. The Oxford Companion to Chess), some musical terms are used in chess and vise versa; such as play, piece, notation, score, tempo, theme, variation, development, minimal composition, round, major and minor, position, second, retrograde, mirror, attack, anticipation, phase and echo. Wow.., honestly? Some of them I don't know how they are used in chess.

I just fed on my curiosity during my break at work today, browsing to see if they have some things in common. Read few stuff and found them very interesting.

So now you know, I love chess - it gives my brain a little twist. (And who knows, it might help with my musical ability too?).

NEW YEAR

I had a 'new' hair style..
I had a 'new' clothe on..
I had 'new' shoes on..
I had 'new' look on my blog (if you noticed)..

I guess it's the tradition passed on through generations where people put old things behind and start fresh on a new year.

I came to reflect on this all the more...; that it shouldn't take a new year to correct my mistakes, it shouldn't take a new year for me to realise how much God loves me, it shouldn't take a new year to see how much God has blessed me THIS MUCH.

Happy New Year everyone!
