TIRED & EXCITED

I've been staying up quite late doing assignments lately. Feeling abit tired these few days. Yeah Uni has been going hectic for me. I spend
more time stressing out about it than actually doing it.. funny but
true.

But I'm really looking forward to our Canberra trip this Saturday with
the rest of the Bible Study friends, it's gonna be fun I hope. Never
been to Canberra, so I'm pretty excited!! Can't wait.

FAREWELL

It's a farewell to a dear friend in choir ministry. Sahid and family are leaving for Indonesia for good (at least for now, there might be a possibility of coming back). :)

After the farewell dinner, it was a speech by Sahid, he shared how he had decided to go back to Indo to be there for his parents as the least thing he could do for them and to help out with their business there. That strucked me right through to my heart! As the 12th of the 10 commandments says: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you." It's a BIG decision to make, isn't it?; when you need to give up "living so comfortably in Sydney" and go back to Indonesia which might seem to be a rough place to live nowadays.

I truly admire his courage and dedication to his parents. I know how he so wanted to stay here very much, but he puts his parents' needs ahead of his own and his family's. Well, he's got a very supportive family, a wife and 2 kids. Yeah, he looked content and confident.. so uplifting to see.

Now... I'm pretty much experiencing dizziness as a result of drinking a quarter cup of red wine, or not really, even lesser. A bit of it was good for my health though. ;p

Overall was a great night, catching up with few friends used to be in the choir. I had to give a speech too, that was scary but was spontaneous and sincere ;).

OK .. I am going to bed.... nite2. *moon & stars* zzzz..... Thank you Jesus, for such a meaningful day.

REJOICE!

Listening to last night's 103.20 FM reflection by Kel Richards. What should we say to people with anxieties and problems in life? Should we just say "It's alright, rejoice!"? II Corinthians 11:23-33 ~ Paul suffered tremendously yet he boasted in his weaknesses. He suffered for God's name, what a faith!

Phillipians 4:4-9 ~ Paul again encourages us to rejoice in the Lord always. Why and how? Read on....

It should be easy to say to our christian friends.."Rejoice!", they might know what it means, might not either. What about our non-christian friends? They won't be able to grasp it why or what on earth is it that we should rejoice in such a situation like this? As the above passage tells us, "..., whatever is true, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." Whenever we face any difficulties, yep we are troubled; substitude our anxieties into the good things in our lifes.

For our christian friends, "The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Paul says: "Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!"

Finally, as I pulled these ideas together, I have been encouraged myself. Hope you are. ;)

RECOVERED

Glad that I've recovered from bad cold or hay-fever kinda thing. Nope I hate medicines! Everyone has asked me to always take medicines when I'm sick, yes I've been very naughty. But, but, for me anyway..., drinking lots and lots of water, eating lots and lots of fruits, taking lots and lots of rest... that's all it takes, you'll recover in few days! Yea.. it proved me right (not just once, it's been few times already).
However, I think it still depends on how far your body can take it. Above all, I'm not a doctor.. just speaking from my own experiences.

Ahhh I've started to stress out about assignments again! Arrgghh.. gotta do it, gotta do it! I just haven't been able to sit still and start doing it. Lord, please help me.. I need strength, wisdom and concentration. Amen!

Please pray for me, friends! :) Thank you..

Dear my faithful blog readers, if you still constantly check this out.. just an apology for being away from blogging world. Been busy (whatelse can I say anyway) and also been unsure of what to write. Nothing much going on in my life... same stuff everyday. :)

Except I had my mum and sisters coming over to Sydney for holidays last month. That was one of the unforgettable ones, missing them still! Wish they can be here forever. I'm gonna be an aunty! Yey! Can't wait really........

Uni and work are going pretty well so far. Been enjoying practicing alot too, didn't realise that I had actually practiced for the last 6 hours straight! That must be lots of fun there..

I'll come back and update more of it. Take care everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog although it isn't as interesting.. ;)
